DPSS 946nm Infrared Lasers

Dream Lasers designs and manufactures cost effective ultra-compact Diode Pumped Solid State Lasers. Our lasers feature with high reliability, high stability, high efficiency, low noise and excellent laser beam quality. These lasers are specificly designed for OEM, scientific and industrial use.

An optimized designed CW 946nm laser at room temperature is obtained. Using type-¢ñ critical-matching BBO crystal, 473nm blue laser is obtained by 946nm intracavity frequency doubling. The maximum laser output power of 36mW is obtained when a incident pump laser of 1.0W is used. The optical-to-optical conversion up to 3.6%, the power instability in 24h is better than ¡À2.5%

As an important laser active medium, Nd: YVO4 is widely used in LD end pumped solid-state lasers due to its large stimulated emission cross section, very strong broad absorption band at 808 nm and polarized emission, etc, and it has three useful stimulated emission spectra of 946 nm but the quasi three level of 946 nm spectum and the low thermal conductivity of YVO4 crystal limit the development of its high power laser output. An efficient high power LD end pumped continuous-wave (CW) Nd: YVO4 laser has been developed by restraining the high gains at wavelengths of 946 nm with a simple folded cavity and suitable medium film applied on its three mirrors. An output power of 1 W, slope efficiency of 17.2% and optical-to-optical conversion efficiency of 9.8% can be achieved when the pump power is 10 W .
